The Wire Expo was a great success for...

Tag: Wire Expo

It could be the location or that the cable industry has finally fully recovered, but we had a record number of visitors at our booth. Many of the visitors were interested in new cable equipment. We had many interesting and serious discussions that likely lead to new orders in the near future.

The location in Mohegan Sun Resort, Uncasville CT was a great choice as it clearly attracted attendees from the close by cities and states as well as the ones further away.

The Wire Expo will surely remain in Rosendahl Nextrom’s focus and exhibition program in the coming years.

The system, dubbed FASTER, lands in Oregon in the U.S. and has two landing points in Japan, in the Chiba and Mie prefectures. It delivers 60 Tbps of bandwidth across the Pacific, and it is the highest-capacity undersea cable ever built -- about ten million times faster than the average cable modem.

"From the very beginning of the project, we repeatedly said to each other, 'faster, Faster and FASTER,' and at one point it became the project name, and today it becomes a reality," Hiromitsu Todokoro, chairman of the FASTER Management Commi ...

The referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union has put a historic decision in the hands of the British people. The vote for Brexit does now represent another blow to the UK steel industry, its value chains and the wider economy, and would also have far reaching effects on the European steel sector.

“There are a number of foreseeable negatives and very few discernible positives now that the UK will end its membership of the EU”, said Axel Eggert, Director General of the European Steel Association (EUROFER). “The UK steel industry is a vital component of the overall European steel sector, and Brexit throws its close integration int ...
