Corning To Invest $67 Million in Newt...

The City of Newton and Catawba County held a special-called joint meeting Monday morning to unveil a new economic development opportunity. The project known as “Project Longleaf” announced a $67 million investment and creation of 210 new jobs by Corning Incorporated.



The new manufacturing facility will create optical cable and will be located in the former General Dynamics building in Newton.

Yazaki Bulgaria To Invest BGN 45.5 M ...

Bulgaria's government has approved a draft memorandum of understanding with Yazaki Bulgaria - Japanese manufacturer's local arm, for the construction of a plant for cable equipment of cars near the southern village of Krepost in the region of Dimitrovgrad.

The plant will produce electric installations for Mercedes class A and V cars. Production is expected to start in April 2017, while the announced investment is to the amount of BGN 45.5 million.
