Resin distributor M. Holland Company announced it has signed a letter of intent to acquire T&T Marketing, a leading distributor of polymer resins and compounds to the wire and cable market. Headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, T&T has annual revenues of about $40 million and distributes throughout the United States and Canada.

JSW Steel In Talks With Cevital To Ac...

Sajjan Jindal-owned JSW Steel is in talks with Algeria's Cevital Group to acquire its Aferpi steel mill in Italy for USD 100 million, a source reported. The private steel maker had earlier tried to acquire the mill in 2014, when it was known as Lucchini. The Algerian conglomerate Cevital however acquired Lucchini and renamed the it Acciaierie e Ferriere di Piombino (Aferpi).

JSW Steel is in talks with Cevital Group to acquire Aferpi, an industry source confirmed.   JSW Steel may offer a financial consideration of USD 100 million (about Rs 639 crore) to Cevital Group to acquire the mill, the source said.

TELE-FONIKA Kable is acquiring subsea umbilicals and power cables designer and manufacturer JDR Cable Systems.

TFKable manufactures 25,000 types of wires and cables, with six production facilities across Europe and sales offices globally. The company, based in Poland, employs more than 3,000 people and operates a cable waste recycling department in Poland.

The two companies have collaborated previously, with TFKable supplying water-blocked power cores for JDR’s cable and umbilical systems.

JDR says its complex subsea systems, used to power and control their offshore operations, will enhance the range of cable solutions TFKable can provide to its customers.
