Pat Carney Unexpectedly Passed Away On July 3, 2018 At His Home In Naples, Florida

Pat Carney unexpectedly passed away on July 3, 2018 at his home in Naples, Florida.  Patrick spent significant time working on programs to help others-including the soup kitchen weekly, numerous fundraising events and numerous board involvement, all of his philanthropic efforts were important to him. Boating was the high point of his life and he was an active member of the Guilford Yacht Club where he served on the board, including serving as a past president. CT Sled Hockey is an organization he started with others and where he served as a coach for 10 years to teach physically challenged persons how to enjoy the sport of hockey.


Pat’s professional career in the wire and cable industry began in the engineering department of Pirelli Cables. Several career moves within the Pirelli power cable organization led him to managerial positions including plant manager at Pirelli Greenfield facilities. Pat’s engineering background and organizational knowledge became significant assets to him in the position of sales manager for leading machine manufacturers in the wire and cable industry including Davis-Standard, Nokia-Maillefer and Gauder Group. Pat most recently utilized his expertise as a manufacturer’s representative with Technical Marketing Services representing both material and equipment suppliers, including, but not limited to, AESA Cortaillod and the MFL Group. Pat was well respected by all within the wire and cable industry.


Patrick is survived by his wife, Michele, son Sean, daughter Kathleen and son Jason and daughters Leigh and Candy.


A wake will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 in Granby, CT and a service to honor his life on Saturday , July 14, 2018 morning at South Church in Granby CT.  Details not available yet.
