Yemeni Tender for 305km Transmission-line Project

The Public Electricity Corporation (PEC) of Yemen is calling for international contractors to bid for a major transmission-line project.


 





Tender No. 47/2010 stipulates a 132kV, 305km-long transmission line from Dhamar to Aden. The project has received financing from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund. The 27-month contract comprises design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning.


 


 


The individual sections for the 132kV double-circuit overhead line are:  Dhamar to Suhban, 87km - Suhban to Haoban, 53km Haoban to Al Arish, 143km - Al Arish, 7km Mansoura, 8km.


 


 


The project includes the connection of line sections and points with new and old substations. Tenderers must be fully qualified, with proven experience in similar projects, as well as specialised and fully qualified.
