The Wire Association International (WAI) Board of Directors convened by conference call to discuss the concerns about how COVID-19 may impact upcoming association activities, specifically the WAI Operations Summit & Wire Expo 2020, which was originally planned for June 3-4, 2020, at the Mohegan Sun Resort Casino.

Leadership made the difficult but necessary decision not to hold the event in June due to the uncertainty about the trajectory of the virus. These safety measures were taken in step with guidelines announced recently by government officials as the health and safety of WAI's community remains the priority.Leadership made the difficult but necessary decision not to hold the event in June due to the uncertainty about the trajectory of the virus. WAI is investigating the availability of new event dates and/or modifications to the event format and will keep you informed of progress as new information becomes available. We hope to have a decision within 30 days as Wire Expo represents an important marketing opportunity for exhibitors.

Additionally, WAI will continue to evaluate its in-person meeting schedules and keep its network apprised should other adjustments be required.

Know that the association is fully operational and it remains a resource for you during these uncertain times. Staff is working remotely to continue to serve you. You may reach the association as always at: 1-203-453-2777; or by email: [email protected], [email protected].

Thank you for your understanding and for your support of WAI.
