Now that winter appears to be past, and spring flowers give us a brighter outlook on life, we should be thinking about the IWCS!

I know...that is really a reach...the 2013 Conference is still 8 months away.  However, it is in the spring that the success of the annual IWCS event is assured.  Soliciting abstracts is the key to a successful Conference, while the sale of exhibition space assures a sound financial base for the year.

So, it is not too much to ask and expect that all be thinking about the IWCS 2013!

Call For Papers

The 2013 Call for Papers has been mailed,
emailed, and has appeared in many industry journals. 

Abstracts must be submitted through the IWCS website by April 20.  In May, the IWCS Symposium Committee will meet to select the abstracts for inclusion in the Technical Symposium, and the authors will be notified.  Papers will be due in late August.

So, consider the important projects that you have undertaken in the past year and commit now to sharing your unique, break-through, paradigm-changing developments/discoveries with the industry.  The IWCS is still the meeting place for technology in our industry.

IWCS Sponsorship

The IWCS has conducted an annual conference for 62 straight years.  The Conference has suffered some up and downs, but always has delivered in its mission of providing the meeting place mentioned above.

As one can imagine, the costs of organizing the Conference have not remained static, but our industry has stepped up to assure the continuation of the work.  Sponsors from our industry, who contribute from $1K to $10k each year, provide nearly 20% of the total IWCS annual income. That sponsorship allows the Conference work to continue, keeping a reasonable registration cost to assure maximum participation.

Sponsors will be approached with renewal requests in the coming weeks, but new sponsors are always welcome.
